The North Weld Herald is located in Eaton, Colorado. It has been in publication since 1891, and serves the communities of Eaton, Ault, Pierce, Nunn, Carr, Galeton, Gill, Briggsdale, Grover and Lucerne. In March, 2011, The Central Weld Voice in Kersey, CO was consolidated with our newspaper. At that time, The Herald-Voice extended their coverage area to include Kersey, LaSalle, Gilcrest and Platteville
The Herald is the official legal publication for the Towns of Eaton, Ault, Pierce, Nunn, Kersey, LaSalle, Gilcrest and Platteville, as well as for the Eaton, Highland, Pawnee, Crow Valley, Platte Valley and Valley School Districts.
The Herald is a weekly newspaper published every Thursday.
The advertising and news deadline is 12 noon every Monday, unless Monday is a major holiday. Then, the deadline is 12 noon the Friday before.
We strive to cover local events, sports and school activities, obituaries, church happenings and meditations from local pastors. We also publish delicious recipes in our Everyday Gourmet column, and "On The Edge of Common Sense" by syndicated columnist Baxter Black, and so much more!!
